So that the Parish of Grijó can move children, students and sportsmen, the Liderbus has given a bus of 55 places to Grijó Parish Council. According to this donation, the Parish Council organized an event which was chaired by the Bishop of Oporto, D. António Clemente. "Last April 1, at the entrance of the Grijó Monastery, the population of the parish gathered to attend the blessing of the bus that will serve the people. It was an emotional moment for Grijó Parish Council which was awarded a new bus by LiderBus, a company dedicated to the repair and maintenance of automobiles and the like vehicles, as well as transformation and change of buses, development of vocational training activities and other educational activities and support services to education. Occupying a prominent place in the market and since its mission is to provide support to the community, the company offered the bus to the Parish Council, intending with this action to leave a mark in the parish, thus contributing to the improvement of quality of life and community well-being. Rogério Tavares proved very honored and grateful for this offer, taking the opportunity to thank Raul Rocha, managing partner of the company, for all the kindness, attention and recognition of the work carried out. "This is another form of recognition that the Grijó Executive is next to people and entrepreneurs, helping those who struggle for the development of our land." Text taken from the "magazine Um olhar"
According to the mayor, the bus will be used for education, in schools, by community associations and parish institutions, as well as by the elderly and the general population. Usage costs will be borne by the beneficiaries.
